This week’s music selections evoked memories of my childhood
with the images of my stepfather’s love of instrumental Jazz and my mother’s
association with Jazz greats--- Nat King Cole, Joe Williams, Johnny Hartman,
Dinah Washington and Count Basie at the Club Delisa. My personal performance journey was tweaked
with musical, dance and vocal aspirations.
So, to this day, I Perk Up, Smile, Laugh, Squeal and Dance to the
various rhythms of 1940’s Jazz. Such Joy
is possible with Music and Movement!!!
Get up, Get out and Listen, Sing, Dance to Music---on a
Daily basis!!!
